Well I’m confused out of my mind with all sort of things and people. I know what I want but I have no idea if that fits in with other people. And 2 months ago I probably wouldn’t have believed I would currently want what I want. But well that’s for another time and place if I can ever figure out how to make things work together.

Well for all that even bother reading this I am travelling to Japan on the 24th. Will try to keep regular updates for family and friends on here. At least for those that know about it. I’m looking at getting a digital camera and video camera while I’m over there. So I might experiment with adding some of that content on here since I’m taking my laptop with me.

Still worried about going through customs and what not. But I’ve found some software that has me feeling that little less paranoid. Truecrypt and Hide Folders XP 2. Looks like very nice products and will work well together.

Well hope I’m missed even though it’s only 2 weeks. I should still be contactable on my mobile and email anyways so it won’t really be like I’m gone that much.

Well got a new gadget I’d recommend to anyone looking to watch video on the go. It’s called a Cowon iAudio A2 and it’s a great little device. Operates like a Digital Video Recorder as well as  Portable Media Player that plays with great quality. So watched some 24 Season 6 on the way to work on the train today really good. Easy to hold with the cover that comes with it.

Also since it didn’t play quicktime movie files I also should mention a great convertor program called River Past Video Cleaner. Works a treat, I also added DivX encoder to the list so I can now watch any podcasts I download to watch as well on the A2.

As for an update on the Martial Arts haven’t attended very much yet. Keep meaning to go but have been flat out or too tired. Still getting quality treatment from my Chiro. I was never able to sit with my feet folded under me since I was about 21 but after three treatments I was able to do it. So I’m highly impressed by what they are capable.

Well recently I was looking at getting into some fitness and a discipline called Parkour. But due to a diagnosis of Shin Splints I’ll be not running or doing impact sports for a good 4 months. So I’ve looked into trialing a couple of martial arts to improve my health.

I’ve always been a fan of Wing Chun but have found a form of Wushu called Bagua Zhang/Pakua Zhang (depending on the dialect used), that’s more facinating and alot more effective mentally, internally and in application even after a single lesson last Saturday. The main problem is learning to relax and not to be so inflexible. Takes alot of unlearning.

I’ve also been messing with some Tai Chi for health and improvement of body mechanics. But the teacher is limited in his knowledge compared to learning from Sifu William Ho for my Bagua Zhang lessons. So I’m inclined to move over to learn Tai Chi as well from Sifu William Ho.

As for the Shin Splints, it’s being treated with rest and my first go at treatment via a Chiropracter. And the guy seems to have a good idea of what he’s doing and explains it well. Even got a Chiropractic history lesson at the start so I’d understand better. Which was great as far as I’m concerned cause you understand so much better where he’s coming from.
